Refunds and cancellations

Being clear about this up front matters, because a payment on Base cannot be reversed once it has been sent.

Before you approve in your bank

Nothing has been charged and nothing has been sent. You can close the page or go back and change the details at any point.

If the bank payment fails

If your bank declines the payment or you cancel inside your banking app, no money leaves your account and nothing is sent to the merchant. You can simply try again.

If we collect your money but cannot send the payment

In the rare case that a transfer cannot be completed, we return the full amount you paid, including our fee, to the account it came from. This usually takes 1–3 working days.

Once the payment has been sent

Blockchain transfers are final. We cannot reverse, recall or refund a payment that has reached the address you entered — including if the address was wrong. Please check the address with your merchant before you pay.

Problems with your purchase

If the merchant does not deliver, or you want to return something you bought, that is between you and the merchant. Send them the transaction link from your receipt as proof of payment, and they can refund you directly.
